Happy Birthday, Joseph!
Today we celebrated Joseph's 35th birthday! I don't know where the time goes.... some day Mason will be having his 35th birthday... how strange (and wonderful) that will be! The day took an unexpected turn - pretty much from the get-go. Mason woke up last night at about 3am and ended up coming to bed with us. He NEVER does that. I know it is related to him being sick so I showed him a little mercy & didn't make him cry it out. And I thank GOD for that... I hardly got any sleep last night. I couldn't get out of bed to go to the bathroom. I couldn't cough. I kept getting kicked and slapped - Mason is an ACTIVE sleeper! He commanded Joseph out of bed early - which was really ok with me because I'd already started Joseph's birthday breakfast (spinach, mushroom & cheese omlette, turkey bacon & toast). If he'd slept too much later I wouldn't have had time to make it out the door for my wedding. Tonight we are celebrating with pizza from Sam's, The Cowboys, and cake. It's not the most adventurous birthday Joseph's ever had... but a night by the fire is a pretty good way to ring in another year on a Sunday night!

A New Home For Our News
To be honest, I didn't think that anyone really kept up with the old blog anymore... then the Christmas cards came and I started catching grief about the fact that it had been 6 months since I'd updated our Caringbridge page. I decided that it was time to move our blog to a new site since it had evolved in purpose from being a blog to keep family and friends updated on 'the boys' to being a place to keep people in the know about the latest with 'the boy' and the family as a whole. Sooooo, with that being said.... let me welcome you to our new blog! I'm so glad you've continued to check in with us!
